By admin

Avis has crowned Jodie Gonzales from American Express Global Business Travel (QLD) as the recipient of the 2014 Avis Scholarship.

Awarded last night at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney, the scholarship has reached its 18th year which continues to recognise and reward consultants who consistently deliver outstanding customer service.

Avis travel industry manager Russell Butler commented on Gonzales’ skills, integrity and passion as the scholarship winner.

“One of the things that stands Jodie apart is the genuine care and compassion she shows for her customers…She appreciates that looking after small but important details can make a huge difference to a client’s overall travel experience.”

“She is dedicated to consistently exceeding her customers’ expectations and to ensuring that they are all treated like valued individuals.”

As Gonzales’ name was called to receive the scholarship, she was frozen in excitement and disbelief.

“The lady next to me had to reassure me that my name was called, I was sitting there in complete shock.”

“It’s such a surreal feeling having walked away with the award after such a long but rewarding process.”

As the winner of the 2014 Avis Scholarship Gonzales will receive:

  • two return Qantas Airways Business Class airfares to New York
