MTA 'makes good' on promises one year on
By admin

Mobile Travel Agents (MTA) CEO, Don Beattie has handed down the company’s one year report during the ‘Imagine-Believe-Achieve’ national conference in Melbourne, saying it has "made good" on several promises throughout the year.

The inception of a ‘Reward and Recognition’ scheme, the introduction of new website skins and delivery of a raft of innovative, high tech tools designed to build on the company’s existing Virtual Office (VO) technology were amongst the list that contributed towards MTA’s overall growth.

Further IT enhancements across the period have also seen the full establishment of multiple download capability via three GDS’ – Amadeus, Galileo and Sabre.

Beattie explained that over 12 months MTA has built on its relationship with several key partners and significantly Virtuoso – Luxury Travel where MTA now ranks as the ninth best producer for onsite tour operators.

MTA was also named Virtuoso – Luxury Travel’s ‘Top Producer Australia and New Zealand’ for the second year in a row at Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas last August.

With the appointment of Sara Merricks to Head of Product, Beattie firmly suggests that the company is already showing significant returns to the business in relation to supplier relationships.

“Sara has built a great rapport evidenced by her becoming a finalist in the ‘Rising Star’ category voted by suppliers at this year’s Virtuoso Travel Week,” Beattie said.
