Aircalin celebrates new Melbourne service

Aircalin celebrates new Melbourne service
By admin

A lucky 30 Australian trade, bloggers and media were treated to a luxurious long-weekend recently to celebrate the launch of Aircalin’s Melbourne to New Caledonia flight last week.

The group departed Melbourne on Friday June 6 for the inaugural Aircalin flight, indulging in French champagne and business class meals on the way over.

Upon arriving, they were greeted with a traditional New Caledonian welcome by local Kanak musicians, before given handmade floral leis and escorted to a French infused VIP reception hosted by Le Meridien Noumea.

The group enjoyed an eventful itinerary over the next four days, including shopping at Port Moselle markets, day trips to the Isle of Pines and L’Escapade Hotel, and beach relaxation, before retiring to their hotels, the Chateau Royal Beach Resort & Spa and the Hilton La Promenade Noumea.

Over the weekend, the group balanced their daily island exploration and activities with ample gastronomic delights of French cuisine and local produce.

Aircalin’s new services depart twice weekly from Melbourne on Tuesdays and Fridays in both directions and will increase to three services per week from late October.

All flights are fully serviced, offering complimentary meals and beverages along with one piece of luggage up to 23 kilograms at no additional cost.

The flight is just under four hours from Melbourne, making a quick getaway to New Caledonia even easier. For more information visit New Caledonia Tourism’s website at www.haveitall.com.au
