Royal Brunei Airlines will temporarily operate its north-bound flights from Australia to Dubai and London into Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) from May until July due to the phased closure of the northern and southern runways at Dubai International (DXB) as they undergo maintenance.

A complimentary shuttle bus will operate every 30 minutes from Al Maktoum Airport to Dubai International to meet connecting flights – around a one hour drive.  RTA buses and taxis will run into the RTA hub in the city.  Limousine services are also available.

Business Class and Royal Skies Gold passengers travelling with Royal Brunei Airlines will be invited to use the Marhaba Lounge at the airport.

Luxury cruise and tour operator APT will run a series of special travel expos throughout June, with agents invited to send their clients along.

The events will “showcase the breadth” of APT’s product portfolio and include: Europe River Cruising, South America, the Kimberley and Outback, Russia, China and Burma, Canada and Alaska, USA, Luxury Small Ship Cruising, Vietnam and Cambodia, Africa, India and Antarctica.

Dates and locations for each APT Travel Expo are as follows: Wednesday June 18, Sydney; Thursday June 19, Brisbane; Tuesday June 24, Melbourne; Thursday June 26, Perth.

Luxury operator Abercrombie & Kent has appointed Ivona Siniarska as regional sales manager VIC/SA/TAS.
