United Airlines will increase its upcoming non-stop Melbourne-Los Angeles service from six times weekly to daily from March 12, 2015.

The service, which launches on October 28, will be operated with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

“We’re delighted about increasing the frequency on Melbourne-Los Angeles to daily from March next year,” United’s managing director Japan and Pacific sales Matt Miller said.

“This announcement further demonstrates United’s strong commitment to the Australian market. We’re proud to offer our customers a competitive product, enhance their flying experience through improved inflight comfort and provide them with even greater connectivity to the US.”

 

Zurich has opened a new airport hotel to cater for short-term, transit and business travellers.

The four star Dorint Aiport-Hotel  Zurich features 235 large rooms and is located two km from the airport and 10km from the city centre.  Room rates start at $120(AUD) per room per night. 

 

The Hong Kong Tourism Board will be holding events and festivals as well as offering a range of shopping and dining deals as part of the city’s annual Summer Fun festival.

The festivities will include the international arts carnival, dragon boat races and a beer and music festival.

The HTKB are also offering offer a range of packages, available for travel throughout the event period of June 27 until August 31.
