Uniworld expands Europe river cruise program
By admin

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has added six new itineraries to its newly-launched 2015 Europe and Russia program with a new ship also set to join its fleet next year.

The 150-guest SS Maria Theresa will be the latest vessel to ply Europe’s waterways – joining sister ships SS Catherine and SS Antoinette – with itineraries on the Rhine, Main and Danube.

The ship will offer 10 suites, double the number of its sister vessels, Uniworld general manager John Molinaro said.

New product included in the preview brochure is a second cruise along the Douro in Portugal with the 13-day Jewels of Spain, Portugal and Douro River itinerary.

Also new is a 22-day Ultimate France tour which combines the Paris and Normandy and Burgundy and Provence cruises, while a 10-day Eastern European Explorer cruise from Budapest to Bucharest has also been added.

Molinaro said Uniworld was expecting a strong 2015 as he joined competitors in talking up the increasing popularity of river cruising.

"This year has been a good year for us and that has come off the back of fabulous 2013," he told Travel Today.

He declined to reveal figures.

Early booking offers for 2015 include savings of up to $2400 per couple when they pay in full by July 31.
