Qantas reveals A330 makeover
By admin

Qantas will roll out new interiors on A330 planes at the end of next year, with a Marc Newson designed Business Suite to be a key point of difference.

Qantas will be the only Asia carrier to have business class seats that can be reclined during take off and landing, allowing for longer rest.

"Qantas invented business class and… we've created a product that has enough space to dine while working, or if you want to rest, to leave the seat in a recline position," Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce said.

A large console next to the business class seat will allow flyers to work while they eat and the seats recline to a full lie-flat bed with direct aisle access.

"We have focused on delivering an intuitive design that meets the needs of our customers travelling in Asia and creating a cabin experience that provides privacy and considered space to work, rest or sleep," Qantas creative designer Marc Newson said.

The A330s will have Panasonic inflight entertainment as well as Q-Streaming technology which allows travellers to stream content to their iPads. International and domestic business fleets will have 1500 hours of content, up from 300 hours.

International economy seats will offer increased legroom, footnets and multidirectional headrests.
