Australia launch next for A&K jet journeys

Australia launch next for A&K jet journeys
By admin

Abercrombie & Kent is preparing to introduce a range of private jet itineraries to the Australian market following recent sell-out success in the US.

The most recent release of private jet itineraries for groups of 50 people, launched by A&K's US office, included a round the world trip, and a Rome to Johannesburg journey which also operated in the other direction.

Targeted at the upper end of the market, the African itinerary was priced from US$80,000 with the round the world itinerary from US$105,000. But all sold out within weeks of their release with no Aussies managing to nab a spot.

However, managing director Australia and New Zealand, Sujata Raman, revealed that Australians may also have a chance to secure a place on similar luxury journeys.

"It was a bit disappointing because we weren't able to get any Australians onto those departures,” she said. "But we'll be introducing new departures in a matter of weeks."

Raman revealed that the firm is also considering launching some private jet itineraries exclusively for the Australian market, with expansion of the range of itineraries on offer also likely with a South American itinerary an option.

“But it’s more about the private jet experience than the destinations,” she said.

The itineraries range between two and a half weeks to three weeks in length and are proving popular with “well travelled clients” keen to avoid airport bureaucracy and scheduled flights, she added.
