Vietjet to nearly double its Australian capacity from December
Edited by Travel Weekly

Vietjet will increase its flight frequency to and from Australia from 26 to 48 flights per week from December.

This includes daily return flights for the Ho Chi Minh City – Melbourne and Ho Chi Minh City – Sydney routes, while the Ho Chi Minh City – Brisbane, Ho Chi Minh City – Perth, and Ho Chi Minh City – Adelaide (via Perth) routes will all increase to 5 times a week.

From 21 November 2023, Vietjet will fly five times a week from Ho Chi Minh City to Adelaide every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 06:35 (local time), stopover in Perth, and arrive in Adelaide at 21:10 (local time). Return flights from Adelaide depart at 07:25 (local time), stopover in Perth, and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 15:40 (local time) every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Meanwhile, flights to Perth will depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 06:35 (local time) and arrive in Perth at 14:20 (local time) every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Return flights depart from Perth at 09:55 (local time) and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 15:40 (local time) every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

From 1 December 2023, Vietjet will fly daily from Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne with seven return flights per week. Flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne take off at 10:50 and land at 23:35 (local time), while flights from Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh City take off at 1:30 and arrive at Ho Chi Minh City at 6:20 (local time).

Meanwhile, Vietjet will also fly daily from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney with daily return flights. Flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney take off at 19:05 and land at 8:05 the next day (local time), while flights from Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City take off at 11:15 and land at 16:15 (local time).

From 16 December 2023, Vietjet will fly from Ho Chi Minh City to Brisbane with 5 return flights per week every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 10:55 and arrive at 22:10 (local time), while flights from Brisbane to Ho Chi Minh City take off at 23:40 and land at 5:05 the next day (local time).

Vietjet continues to increase its flight frequency to meet the high demand for travel between Australia and Vietnam, particularly during the upcoming year-end holidays.

To ensure travellers get the most out of Vietjet’s increased flights to and from Australia, the airline will continue to hold its weekly discounted fares until 31 December 2023 every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On these days, fares start for as low as $165.

They are also automatically entitled to Vietjet’s Sky Care travel insurance package, which covers medical expenses incurred due to accidents or illnesses (including COVID), flight-related problems (including flight delay, baggage delay, baggage loss or damage, lost travel documents), and global travel and medical support services 24/7.

In addition, travellers can accumulate points when they sign up for Vietjet’s SkyJoy Loyalty Program, which they can use to redeem rewards for dining, shopping, and resort services from over 250 participating merchants.
