Intrepid Group has confirmed the appointment of Louise Laing as its new general manager of marketing for Australia and New Zealand.

Laing was previously the marketing boss at rival G Adventures across Australia and New Zealand – a role she held for almost two years before her departure in December last year.

Prior to G Adventures, Laing worked at Visit Ballarat as its general manager of marketing. She has also held roles at Jetstar, Mango Communications, the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Haystac.

Laing’s appointment follows that of ex-Helloworld executive Michael Burnett, who joined Intrepid this year as its first chief financial officer since the company’s return to private ownership in 2015.

Intrepid also recently made some other key changes to its management team, with Brett Mitchell being promoted to the global role of chief commercial officer, and Sarah Clark being named managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
