Flight Centre offers clever cancellation cover

The Eiffel tower, landmarks in the world under sun light

Travellers heading to Europe in 2017 can now protect their holiday plans with Flight Centre offering free cancellation cover and a full refund on all Europe bookings made in November as part of their $149 ‘Captains Platinum’ package.

As the competition heats up to secure the best fare towards the end of the year, the limited-time-only incentive is an added bonus for travellers who might otherwise not take the plunge.

Flight Centre’s exclusive cancellation cover will offer holiday makers the extra peace of mind to lock in their Europe earlybird flights.

Flight Centre’s head of product, advertising, sales and marketing, Darren Wright said “it’s never been cheaper to travel and particularly with Europe earlybird fares, travellers can get a great deal right now.”

“Our new Captains Platinum add-on means travellers can lock in a low priced airfare, enjoy the Christmas holiday period and then formalise – or cancel – their plans next year if they wish. Flexibility will really drive customer service in 2017 so this is our way of showing we’re listening to our customers,” Wright added.

To take advantage of the cancellation cover, customers will need to purchase a $149 ‘Captain’s Platinum’ package which not only ensures you a refund if you want to cancel in the future but it also comes with a $150 accommodation discount and Price Drop Protection all the way up until Christmas Eve (if the price of your fare drops you’ll get the difference back).

The new cancellation cover will allow travellers to cancel their Europe booking for a full refund up until 8 weeks prior to departure and is valid for bookings made September 13 – November 18 on selected airlines.
