Flight Centre fills Infinity Holidays void, opening up The Travel Junction to all agents

Flight Centre will make its supplier business The Travel Junction (TTJ) available for use by the wider travel agent community.

TTJ was initially created to supply the travel giant’s range of hotels, car hires, tours, activities, transfers and air products to global OTAs, wholesalers, tour operators, DMCs and bedbanks, but today Flight Centre revealed plans to offer its services to retail travel agents and agencies across Australia.

The aim of the expansion is for TTJ to service the retail agents that Infinity Holidays, which was recently axed, traditionally worked with, along with new retail customers.

“This marks the beginning of an exciting new era for The Travel Junction, as it delivers its highly attractive productive ranges to the broader retail travel sector,” TTJ general manager James Whiting said.

“We believe this new offering will appeal to retail agencies that are looking for a partner that can fulfil all of their product needs in one place and deliver a superior customer experience.

“TTJ is developing a strong reputation in the business-to-business sectors it has traditionally targeted and provides the same specialised and highly valued product ranges that the infinity brand was known for in a low touch, self-service model to make transactions simple and easy.”

Last month, Flight Centre announced it would streamline its product support areas to create a centralised division out of its existing Infinity Holidays and product support teams to form a one-stop Product Excellence Hub for agents.

As a result of the restructure, the travel giant announced the Infinity Holidays brand would no longer be in the market.

Flight Centre Travel Group supremo Graham “Skroo” Turner will be speaking at the travel industry’s most thought-provoking conference, Travel DAZE 2020. To find out more or to register, click here.
