Globus Annual Golf Day a Huge Hit with Trade
The Globus family of brands has scored a win with its annual Golf Day, held last week. Teeing off at the Pymble Golf Course in St Ives, the competition attracted more than 120 participants from across Australia and New Zealand, including Avalon Waterways ambassador Deborah Hutton, and Emirates Divisional Vice President Australasia Barry Brown, who scored an impressive hole-in-one.
With 28 teams competing for the top spot during the Ambrose course, the eventual winners were Darren Perry, Globus family of brands Groups Business Development Manager; Robert Kirk, Manager of italktravel; Derek Kirk, Director of Fine Travel and Michael Gannon, Golf Professional at Precision Golf Chatswood.
Personal Travel Managers Confident of More Plain Sailing Following Cruise360 Conference
Confidence in the cruising industry remains high for personal travel managers following their attendance at CLIA Australia’s Cruise360 third conference in Sydney late last month.
Fifteen TravelManagers’ personal travel managers (PTMs) representing New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria participated in this annual event, which is the largest and only official cruise conference in Australasia and designed exclusively for travel professionals.

Edgecliff Agent Wins Seabourn’s Ultimate Ultra-Luxury Incentive
An Edgecliff travel agent will be among the lucky travellers to experience the maiden European season of Seabourn’s new ship, Seabourn Encore, after winning the cruise line’s Australian incentive promotion.
All Australian agents who booked a Seabourn 2016 European departure in May and June went into the draw to win a cruise for two aboard the newest and most luxurious ship in the world.
Maria Theodosatos from Spencer Travel Eastside was thrilled to win a $15,000 seven-day Mediterranean cruise for two on the stunning 600-guest ship.
State winners also received a luxurious Seabourn hamper including champagne, Molton Brown products and a Thomas Keller cook book.
Seabourn Encore will cruise Australian waters during its first season, making nine maiden calls to Australian ports from Darwin to Geelong between January 22, 2017 and March 17, 2017 following its gala naming ceremony in Singapore in early January.
When it arrives down under, Seabourn Encore will claim the mantle as the youngest and the most luxurious cruise ship ever to visit Australia.
