From November 2 to 8, the Canadian province of Manitoba will host Polar Bear Week, with global viewers tuning in via social media to watch real-time activity of the polar bears in their migration across the Canadian Arctic.

Created by Explore.org, Frontiers North Adventures and Polar Bears International, the initiative uses non-stop coverage of the polar bears’ journey on social media to build awareness of the challenges of climate change for the species.

G Adventures has been named Australasia’s Leading Tour Operator for 2014 at the 21st World Travel Awards Asia & Australasia Gala Ceremony, held at a red carpet event in New Delhi last night.
