Allianz launches new travel insurance

Allianz launches new travel insurance
By admin

Allianz Global Assistance is launching My Travel Insurance, an exclusive new product that will be available to travel agents from November 1.

Following consultations with agents to see what they thought the industry needed, Allianz has developed the product, which has similar features and technology platforms to products currently available, but with several additional features.

These features include insolvency cover for selected tour operator and wholesalers, a benefit that aims to bridge the gap left by the removal of the Travel Compensation Fund in Australia.

My Travel Insurance will be accessible by independent travel agents and groups, giving Allianz the ability to target, incentivise and reward top performing agents, and keeping prices competitive in the long run.

Allianz Global Assistance’s CEO John Myler said the team worked with key industry figures and agents to discover what features needed adding to existing insurance policies.

“Consumer demands are constantly changing and the industry has recently experienced changes to legislation, so it’s important that we listen to what our partners and consumers want and continue to launch products that meet their needs,” he said.
