Say Aloha This Summer Because Hawaii Is Open!

That’s right, paradise is lost no more! Hawaii is now open and ready to accept visitors.

Both Hawaiian Airlines and Qantas have officially restarted flights between Australia and Hawaii allowing travellers to once again get out into the ocean, indulge in the diverse cuisine, and experience first-hand the thriving culture of the rainbow state.

The culture of the Hawaiian Islands is defined by the values of kuleana (responsibility) and mālama(care), so visitors can enjoy the magnificent archipelago knowing their safety is a priority.

Here’s what you need to know about international travel to and around Hawaii.

Hawaii welcomes all vaccinated international travellers and is aligned with the CDC federal international requirements.

Non-US citizens travelling directly to Hawaii must present both a vaccination record and a negative COVID-19 test result (NAAT or antigen) within one day of boarding a flight to the U.S. The airlines will screen passengers prior to their departure to the United States.

International travellers entering the United States via another state or territory will be treated as domestic travellers when entering the State of Hawaii and must follow all Safe Travels Hawaii protocols.

This includes uploading proof of vaccination or having a negative result from a Trusted Testing Partner prior to departure. You can find further details HERE.

While in flight and deplaining, travellers must follow the guidance of their air carrier regarding physical distance, mask wearing, and sanitation processes and all incoming Hawaii travellers will have their temperature checked upon arrival.

Travel around the Hawaiian Islands is plain sailing, with all passengers who are not in quarantine, are free to travel between islands without restriction.

Just remember to respect your fellow travellers and the people of Hawaii by wearing a mask in public, maintaining physical distance, and washing hands frequently.

So, tell your clients to dig out their cozzies and find their Aloha spirit with a stress-free and safe holiday to the paradise of the pacific today!
