TUNE IN: Visit Italy sets up radio station to keep your clients dreaming and ready to book

Extremely delicious ice cream with the important symbol of the Rome Pantheon

Looking for something to listen to on your morning walk?

Or, more accurately, something to help you pretend you’re strolling the streets of Rome instead of slogging away in the (home) office?

Well, you’re in luck! The Italian National Tourist Board has launched the first international radio station for the promotion and relaunch of Italian tourism.

The destination marketing body’s Sydney office has secured its own 30-minute weekly English language radio program called Australians Love Italy, which airs every Tuesday at 6pm (AEST).

The program features special guests and up-and-coming Australian music, while discussing the reason why Italy is such a popular destination for Australians.

Send your clients a link to get them dreaming of gondola rides through Venitian canals and devouring delicious gelato at Sienna’s Piazza del Campo.

The show runs Tuesdays at 6pm each week and will be repeated Wednesdays at 10am, Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 12 noon (AEST).

You can listen to the show on the local Visit Italy website, Amazon Alexa or Google Home. Alternatively, you can download the Visit Italy Web Radio app on Apple’s App StoreGoogle Play, the Huawei App Gallery.
