“Come with us to make it great for our travellers”: Better Homes and Gardens’ message to industry

The Travel Awards are back big bigger and better than ever this year, and Better Homes and Gardens has once again come onboard as the media partner.

As part of Better Homes and Gardens’ partnership with the awards, travel brands will have the chance to win an incredible advertising package worth $75,000 from which to market themselves.

Travel Weekly caught up with Better Homes and Gardens editor-in-chief Julia Zaetta to chat about the publication’s commitment to helping the travel industry grow and prosper.

Why is Better Homes and Gardens continuing its support of The Travel Awards in 2019?

Better Homes and Gardens is very excited and enthusiastic about the travel industry. And we are equally as excited to be supporting those in the industry who are rewarding, recognising, acknowledging and celebrating onstage all the wonderful people who make travel as amazing as it is. As we partner with The Travel Awards in 2019, we are sharing the opportunity of also acknowledging those people, and that is an honour for Better Homes and Gardens.

What are you most looking forward to at this year’s awards?

The awards night is so full of enthusiasm and excitement, but it will be especially good to see the growth and support of the awards program itself. Marry those two with nominees, then winners, being completely overjoyed – that’s what Better Homes and Gardens is looking forward to.

How is Better Homes and Gardens continuing to grow its presence in the travel space?

We’re developing more and more relationships every day, and we are building our travel space within the magazine and across all our media platforms. We will continue to do so because our travel audience – whether in print, online, social or TV – continues to grow because of the enthusiasm for us ‘travelling’ the way that we are. Better Homes and Gardens is known as one of the most trusted brands in the country, so as we feature travel, our audience trusts what we are doing. And we’ve also always been loved for our ideas, inspiration and information, and they will be right in there, too. It’s so exciting!

How can travel industry professionals use Better Homes and Gardens to grow their business?

In all instances, we would love to speak to as many industry people as we can and tailor-make relationships to grow their businesses. We receive enormous enthusiasm from travel industry people for being able to have a relationship with Better Homes and Gardens. And this is because the size and relevance of our audience is awesome. So many of our readers and users are intending to travel, planning to spend billions of dollars in the next year. They not only travel internationally but also here at home. And they are cruising, coaching it, flying, training it, walking, taking our roads across the country and the world, exploring, becoming involved in communities and the wellbeing of the planet, wining and dining to their hearts’ content – they’re doing everything and more, and having the time of their lives. It is our intention to partner with the travel industry to continue to give them this time of their lives. What a fabulous mission! So, we say to as many industry people as we can, ‘Come with us to make it great for our travellers.’ And see you at the awards!

The Travel Awards are designed to celebrate wholesalers, destinations, airlines, tourism boards, cruise lines, retailers and the myriad of other companies that make the travel industry so amazing.
