WATCH: young girl hit in the face by ibis on Movie World ride

Of all the places you don’t want something to go wrong, a roller coaster ride is probably up there as one of the highest.

But when the results aren’t devastating, they’re usually quite funny, as we discovered watching this video of a young girl having a run-in with a rather large bird mid-ride.

Paige Ormiston had psyched herself up to sit at the front of the HyperCoaster at Movie World on the Gold Coast when a very brave ibis flew across the tracks and collided with the teen’s face.

Watch the incident in all its hilarity here.

Her uncle, who accompanied her on the ride, looks at her with his mouth wide open as Ormiston begins to realise what happened and begins to mouth “Holy fudge, Oh my god, what the fudge I just got hit by a bird,” according to News.com.au.

Ormiston’s mother purchased the footage from Movie World and posted it online, just as any sane parent with a sense of humour would.

“Paige just got hit by an ibis while riding front seat on the DC rival HyperCoaster with uncle Mitch @movieworldaus,” she wrote on Facebook.

“She had feathers on her and a beak scratch on her right shoulder. She’s completely shocked, a little bruised but OK. Not sure about the bird? How can you not buy that video?”

Some commenters on the video remarked that it sure seemed as though Ormiston was mouthing “What the f***”, not “What the fudge”, but her mother said she wouldn’t hold it against her this time.

“Normally that would be some seriously punishable language, but I totally get it in this case…This is a parenting moment where I genuinely didn’t know how to respond?! So funny but so naughty.” she commented.
