WATCH: Round of applause for intoxicated woman forced to leave flight

Airline whiskey served during long distance flight..Hand holding whiskey glass in airplane

A flight from Manchester to Cyprus was diverted when an intoxicated woman began swearing and shouting midair.

The EasyJet flight was forced to land in Athens where four passengers were thrown off the flight following reports they were drunk and arguing with others on board, said Metro.

One unnamed 23-year-old woman was filmed shouting at one crew member who was trying to calm her down after she launched into a rant where she repeatedly asked the crew member if they wanted her to “be a prostitute”.

When crew members managed to get her back into her seat, she appeared to become tearful and claim she was going to “get raped” if she was thrown off the flight.

The woman lashed out at passengers with their phones out, screaming: “Why the f*** are you filming me, you ugly bitch?”

Metro reports that a crew member told the woman that if she didn’t calm down, she would be dragged off the flight in handcuffs.

Before leaving, she began sobbing and pleading with crew members to take her home.

“I’m scared. I just want to go home…. Please take me home… Please,” she said.

“I don’t even want to go on holiday. Please take me home.”

Passengers applauded and shouted as the woman was taken off the plane.

It is being reported the women were arrested when they arrived in Athens.

Metro reports passengers said the group were drunk before they boarded the flight and they had smuggled their own drinks on board.

The flight continued to Cyprus after the diversion, postponing another flight to Manchester.

You can watch the footage here, but be warned, its 90% beeped out swearwords.
