Take an insider’s look at the Helloworld Travel Frontliners Forum!

The Helloworld Travel Frontliners Forum has well and truly wrapped up for 2017, after an extravagant and inspiring event down in Hobart.

Agents came from all over Australia to the Forum, in order to share and add to their agent knowledge, to celebrate their achievements and make the most of all that Tasmania has to offer.

Almost 600 Helloworld Travel frontline agents, preferred partners and suppliers descended onto Hobart for an action packed few days, and we’re now bringing you an insider’s peek at what went down, as well as some glorious photos to boot!

The conference

The conference entertained and informed delegates, with the theme of ‘You are the difference’ a huge hit amongst attendees.

The forum kicked off with a welcome function sponsored by the Intrepid Group and Tourism Tasmania on the Wrest Point lawn, before getting stuck into the conference sessions the following day.

Featuring speakers including Kirk Peterson, world renowned thought leader, Kirrily Waldhorn, the original Beer Diva and “Australia’s First Lady of Beer” and also Lynne Schinella, speaking to delegates about understanding themselves and others for better results.

The forum proved not only well-designed, but fostered a connection with each delegate on various levels, which was exciting for Helloworld to see.

Major sponsors of the event, Tourism Tasmania showcased the impressive and delicious offerings of the Apple Isle with local wine, cheeses and ice-cream in plentiful supply. They also chatted with the delegates about the recent successful increase in visitor numbers coming to the island state.

Highlights

Keeping everything running smoothly, MC Stevie Jacobs entertained the delegates across the weekend, with Vince Sorrenti stepping in to provide some additional comedic relief for all.

In between all the fun, delegates enjoyed a casual dinner event at Glen Albyn Estate, giving them a change of scenery with views over the Derwent River, Storm Bay, Bruny Island and beyond.

Other highlights included Travel Trivia where agents were tested on their knowledge, an extensive tradeshow that shared info direct from suppliers, and a specific sales training course on how to make your customer service stand out from the crowd.

The Gala Awards

The conference culminated at the Gala Awards dinner presented by Qantas Airways. Held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, the awards recognised the Helloworld Travel top achievers from across the Branded and Associate networks.
