Midweek Interview with AAT Kings’ Simon Vincent

Midweek Interview with AAT Kings’ Simon Vincent

This week we asked Simon Vincent, the Sales Manager for NSW/ACT AAT Kings to reveal all to us. Or to answer our questions anyway.

The challenge for the industry is…

Trying to stay competitive in the market.

The things I like about my job…

The different mix of personalties and places I get to visit on a daily basis and sharing those places with others. Like enjoying an AAT Kings award winning BBQ under the stars in Uluru or basking in the abundant history, culture and native wildlife in Kakadu national park.

And the frustrations are…

Not enough hours in the day.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be…

Full time musician.

Favourite airline?

Virgin.

My proudest moment was…

Becoming a father.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was…

I try to relax by…

Having an ice cold beer and binge watching a TV Series

The last time I feared for my life was…

Mistaking a stick on the ground for a brown snake

If I can, I always try to avoid…

Assuming what people want, think or need.

I really wish I had…

A personal assistant.

The best advice I’ve ever received was…

Be yourself and share your enthusiasm with others who want to listen.

I don’t understand why people…

Judge a book by its cover.

My greatest weakness is…

Online distraction.

And my greatest strength is…

Time management.

If I won a $1 million lottery (aside from travelling), I would…

Pay off the Mortgage and take the family around the world.

If I was prime minister I would…

Invest more in Domestic Tourism.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be a…

A film critic.

I’ve always wanted to travel to…

Japan

My favourite holiday was…

My first trip to Europe.
