Megafam offers agents a taste of the USA

Megafam offers agents a taste of the USA

Brand USA and Air New Zealand have announced their first ever joint MegaFam, to take place from May 19 to 29.

60 agents from Australia and New Zealand – 30 from each – will qualify to participate on the MegaFam via an incentive launching in Australia on Monday February 29 and running until Monday April 11 2016.

The ‘#tasteUSA’ MegaFam will see agents experience one of six culinary themed itineraries across California, Tennessee, Texas, Florida, Louisiana, Maine and Massachusetts.

30 agents, accompanied by their Brand USA and Air New Zealand hosts, will fly from Australia via Auckland to board their flights to Houston, Texas and San Francisco, California.

Here the ‘#tasteUSA’ theme will come to life, and the participants will be exposed to the delicious culinary experiences and diverse activities that each MegaFam destination has to offer.

The entire MegaFam group will then reconvene in Houston, Texas for a final two night finale event, where agents will hear and learn about each of the itineraries and all that the destinations have to offer.

Each participant will receive a US SIM card to capture and share their experiences with friends and followers on social media.

Oliver Philpot, Director Brand USA Australia and New Zealand, said “We are thrilled to be hosting the first-ever Brand USA and Air New Zealand MegaFam. Consumers in Australia and New Zealand now have greater access to the Southern states than ever before, and with the six planned itineraries and a finale in Houston, we are looking forward to showcasing this part of the USA. The culinary theme is also sure to complement the program, helping the agents to discover the destination in a memorable way.”

Air New Zealand Chief Sales and Commercial Officer Cam Wallace says Air New Zealand is proud to partner with Brand USA to take agents from Australia to San Francisco and the airline’s latest new destination, Houston as part of the #tasteUSA MegaFam.

“With the addition of Houston, Air New Zealand now flies to five North American ports giving customers many options to explore the United States and beyond. We’re currently flying five times each week between Auckland and Houston using 777-200 aircraft and Australian travellers can easily connect onto our North American network from across the Tasman,” he said.

“Houston really is a gateway to the southern and eastern states of the US, so it’s exciting that all 60 agents will congregate in Houston for the MegaFam finale event.”

The incentive is open to those that qualify and agree to the terms & conditions for entry. To qualify, all agents must also be registered users on Brand USA’s Discovery Program and must have completed their Regional Expert Badge, as well as Food & Drink Specialist Badge. Full terms and conditions, and details on how to register can be found here tasteusamegafam.com.
