Midweek Interview with Trafalgar sales manager QLD Kiyhan Bell

Midweek Interview with Trafalgar sales manager QLD Kiyhan Bell

The challenge for the industry is… So many destinations and so little time we all have for holidays, how do you choose your next holiday? It’s hard to see everything we have on our bucket list within time constraints.

The things I like about my job… Consistently talking about everyone’s dream holiday or their personal travel experiences. Holidays are such a personal thing, however, everyone can relate to that dream holiday because we are all dreaming and planning of our next holidays.

And my frustrations are… Tricky question as I try not to let things frustrate me, but if I had to say one thing it would be inconsiderate drivers on the road.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be…  IT or Training, I’m a nerd at heart, love computer systems and love training and helping people.

My proudest moment was… Holding onto my beautiful niece only an hour after she was born, I knew then she stole my heart.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… Dancing on tables in Airlie Beach at Beaches in QLD, the things you did in your 20’s.

I try to relax by… Watching a movie on the weekend, it seems so simple but that flat screen in my lounge room is the only thing that can relax me and take my mind of the everyday things we deal with.

The last time I feared for my life was… A ride at the Ekka Show in Brisbane in 2014. It was the first time I went on a scary ride with my now fiancée and little did he know at the time I was extremely scared of rides but I didn’t want to show it. Unfortunately that fear came out about 5 mins into the 15min ride.  Never will I try and show off again!

If I can, I always try to avoid… Being negative or unhappy, life is what we make of it and I want it to be in a happy place so staying positive and happy is what I try to always do.

I really wish I had… Unlimited frequent flyers – tell me you wouldn’t love this.

The best advice I’ve ever received was… Every day is a school day and take in all the new information you have learnt as you will never know when you may need that one day.

I don’t understand why people… Can be rude, if we all smiled and said hello to each other how much better would everyone’s day be?

My greatest weakness is… Putting myself first before other people.

And my greatest strength is… Helping people around me, it makes me happy to think that I have made someone’s day be that little more special.

If I was prime minister I would…legislate same sex marriage.

If I won $1 million on the lottery I would… Help my family out where possible including a nice family holiday with both our families, have our dream honeymoon travelling the world and complete our renovations on our house.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be … .Julia Roberts – I love Julia and would love to see what it would be like in her shoes for one day.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… This list could go on foreverItaly, France, Czech Republic – Prague, Austria – Vienna, Spain – Barcelona and so many more.  America and Mexico have always been on the wish list as well.

My favourite holiday was… To date that would be Thailand – I did the Contiki – West Island Hopper and had an amazing time and to top it off went to Chiang Mai and fell in love with the people up there.  They have beautiful souls and are the kindest people I have ever met.  I felt completely safe and was travelling on my own – HIGHLY recommend Chiang Mai.
