We get it – agents are busy, and between all of you, there’s a lot to catch up on!
So while you were busy sleeping, eating, working and jetsetting this week, we made sure to get all the latest famil snaps, last minute deals and things you absolutely need to know.
Here’s our weekly Agent Wrap.
New Zealand All Stars Famil
Partners Air New Zealand, Virgin Australia and Tourism New Zealand are joining forces to run 2015’s most anticipated trade famil across the ditch with 400 travel agents from Australia.
The “All Stars” trade famil runs from September 7 to 13, where the successful agents will go to Auckland for an educational workshop and welcome event, before setting off on 21 separate itineraries with skiing, cycling, food and wine all on the menu.
The partners will then reward the most outstanding 20 travel agents who sell the highest number of outbound fares with an All Star premium famil, with registration now open.
Star Performers Azamara Famil
Creative Holidays and Azamara Club Cruises recently hosted Creative Holidays’ Star Performers on a 12-night cruise around Greece and Croatia onboard Azamara Journey.
The lucky agents called in at Greece, Italy, Croatia and Montenegro, as well as enjoying the Venetia Antiqua Ensemble at Teatro La Fenice in Italy, one of Europe’s most famous opera houses.
Scenic’s last call for Antarctica
The last remaining Antarctica cabins for February 2016 are now being offered at an even better price, plus generous single supplement are available for the solo traveller.
Earlybird offers have also been extended on all bookings made by 31 July 2015, meaning guests can enjoy savings of up to $500 per couple on the 13 Day Ultimate Antarctic Adventure, departing 11 and 15 February.
Zambia welcomes agents with Bench
Bench International recently hosted a Zambia famil showcasing the wildlife, culture, varied activities and diverse scenery that the country has to offer.
Cameron Neill, Bench Africa expert was accompanied by 8 lucky agents who got to experience sunset boat cruises, guided game walks, luxurious accommodation and a visit to the magnificent Victoria Falls.
On The Go Tours gets charitable
On the Go Tours are supporting the “I Give a Buck Month” this July by donating $10 from every passenger booked to the cause.
“I Give A Buck” primarily assist children from disadvantaged families who also suffer from a life-threatening or life-altering illness or condition, with particular focus on terminally ill children.
The announcements comes off the back of news that the tour company is now venturing into New Zealand, with two tours visiting the Southern Glaciers and the best of North and South Islands.
Wendy Wu takes top agents to Vietnam
This year’s Silver Choice Award trip saw 10 of the national network’s top agents tour Vietnam as guests of Wendy Wu Tours.
During the eight-day trip the group cycled through rice paddies, rode water buffalos, helped local fisherman cast their nets, visited Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum in Hanoi, and attended a cooking school for instructions in the inventive Vietnamese art of vegetable carving.
Starwood Pacific sale
Starwood Hotels and Resorts has kicked off the cold and launched its Pacific Winter Sale.
The sale offers guests a chance to escape the chill with up to 50% off at any Westin, Sheraton, Le Meridien and Four Points by Sheraton properties across Australia, Fiji, Samoa and New Caledonia.
Guests must book between the July 27 and August 9, 2015, with the deal is valid for travel until the December 29 2015.
