SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, has formally opened its new Exclusive Lounge at Sydney Airport.

The alliance’s presence in the Australian market has been growing steadily and now offers over 80 weekly departures from Sydney International Airport operated by China Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, Korean Air and Vietnam Airlines.

The third exclusive lounge in SkyTeam’s global network has been designed in SkyTeam’s trademark sleek and modern style.

The lounge features seating capacity for 140 guests, with electrical outlets available by each seat for personal comfort and convenience, business amenities, access to WiFi and printing services, a wide assortment of food and beverages, a wellness centre with showers and massage chairs, and a dedicated TV room.

“It is a great way to kick off our 15th anniversary year, with a new lounge delivering benefits for customers and synergies for members,” SkyTeam’s managing director Michael Wisbrun said at the opening ceremony.

“We look forward expanding our service of exclusive lounges to Dubai, Beijing and Hong Kong by the end of the year.”
