Singapore Airlines has appointed Wendy Wu Tours to manage its SIA Holidays program in Australia from April 1 following a “competitive” tender process.

The Asia specialist operator will be responsible for broadening the SIA Holidays range of packaged products across Asia, Europe and Africa. It takes over from Pinpoint Holidays.

“We are excited to be partnering with Wendy Wu Tours to be the custodians of our long-standing SIA Holidays brand,” Singapore Airlines’ senior manager marketing and alliances Australia, Dale Woodhouse, said.

Meanwhile Wendy Wu managing director Alan Alcock described it as an “exciting opportunity”.

“It provides us with a chance to use our extensive expertise and knowledge of the Asia region in particular, combined with our strong partnership with Singapore Airlines to further grow what is an already very successful product,” he said.

The new range of SIA Holidays products and brochures will be available from April 2014.
