G Adventures has reported the first year of its Australia and New Zealand program as an "unprecedented success" with more than 90% of its tours fully booked through 2013.

"We couldn't be happier with how the Australia and New Zealand product has been received," managing director Australia and New Zealand operations Neil Geddes said.

"Our sales have been stronger than we all expected for a first year product, and the Net Promoter Scores tell us that our travellers are loving what we're offering in this part of the world."

Tourism New Zealand has appointed Helen Bambry, formerly of Millennium Hotels & Resorts, as its new business events manager Australia based in Sydney.

In addition, the tourism body has confirmed Chrstina McLauchlan as business events manager South & South East Asia with Sue Marshall to take on the role of regional communications manager based in Shanghai.

Travel SIM newcomer Anaconda has launched a new trade campaign to encourage corporate travel agents to sell the card to their government and business clients.

Agents can earn 10% comission on all money credited to the SIM card, with director Bruce Hansen indicating that figure could run into "thousands of dollars".
