Agents a focus of Qantas' new "Ausmerica" campaign

Qantas and Brand USA will jointly host a USA mega-famil in November as part of a new Ausmerica campaign which launched at the weekend.

The campaign showcases the US as a destination along with Qantas' air services to Los Angeles, Dallas and New York. It will feature TV, print, digital and outdoor components, and will also be aired through Qantas' own channels including airport signage and inflight TV.

Meanwhile, a trade incentive will offer agents the chance to win one of 50 places on the week-long famil to take place in November.

"We're pleased to offer this fantastic incentive and partner with Brand USA to provide the travel trade with a rewarding experience to capitalise on the increasing popularity of the USA for Australian travellers," Qantas executive manager international sales, Stephen Thompson, said.

"The mega-famil provides us with an opportunity to recognise the Australian travel trade and reward them for their continued support."

From Saturday, bookings on all Qantas flights to Hawaii, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York will put agents in the running, with the top 50 to be selected based on sales.

Split into five touring groups, the agents will visit a range of destinations culminating with a dinner in Los Angeles on November 24.

"We look forward to participants experiencing the breadth of what the USA has to offer," Brand USA strategy director Australia and New Zealand, Joe Ponte, said.
