All Nippon Airways has extended its Boeing 787 service cancellations to the end of March, as investigations into a series of reported malfunctions continue. The Japanese carrier is the largest operators of Dreamliner aircraft so far, with 17 in service before the grounding was enforced.

 

Toga Hotels will venture into Tasmania for the first time with the rebadging of the Leisure Inn Hobart Macquarie as Travelodge Hotel Hobart. The rebrand follows the acquisition of the 131-room hotel by the Zonie Group, which also owns the Toga-operated Adina Apartment Hotel Coogee. It becomes the 17th Travelodge in Toga's portfolio, with the hotel firm now operating properties in each state and territory of Australia.

 

A new plan to build a cross-country mountain bike trail across the Victorian high country has been launched by minister for tourism, Martin Ferguson. The project, part of the Australia's natural Landscapes Program, is being funded through the Strategic Tourism Investment Grants scheme.
