GET PRINTING

Amadeus has launched a web-based itinerary management tool – Amadeus Printmytrip – that aims to streamline the creation and delivery of informative, professional and branded travel documentation. "This new solution can be tailored to suit customers' individual requests and with its extensive range of document customisation features, it has the potential to positively impact a travel agency's brand," Amadeus IT Pacific managing director Sari Vahakoski said.

The new tool is also fully integrated with the Amadeus Selling Platform, allowing travel agents to easily distribute travel quotations, itineraries and e-tickets, as well as include important booking information such as fare types, cabin class and baggage allowance in the traveller's itinerary.

SEEING RED

Sabre, which launched the first business-to-business app store for the travel industry earlier this year, is seeing strong interest in its Sabre Red App Centre from third party app providers. Since the launch, more than 80 third party app providers have applied to become Red App Certified Providers in order to reach the 220,000 travel agents who use the Sabre Red Workspace.

"Combining the creativity of the third party developers with the innovative tools already delivered by Sabre takes the idea of a personalised workflow to a new level," said Carl Frier, Sabre Pacific's general manager sales and product Australia and New Zealand.

VISUALISE THIS

Front and mid office travel management system Tramada has released an add-on to its Tramada Next Generation product, called Visual BP. The graphical, intuitive and customisable tool allows consultants to map their desired workflows to the Tramada system. "This tool is very simple to use and ultimately acts as an enabler to facilitate users in coming to grips with Tramada functionality quickly," chief executive Jo O'Brien said.
She said the tool also benefited clients by expediting training for new staff or helping temporary staff become productive immediately because it provided a description of sequences of actions to achieve a complete business process, such as creating a booking.
