TripAdvisor has released the 2017 Hotel Pricing Report, mapping out when to visit popular destinations and get the best bang for your buck.
Every travel enthusiast keeps a memo of bucket list destinations they plan on visiting, but do they know when is the best time to go? Most travellers work hard to put aside savings for a trip of a lifetime, so it is important to know when is the right time to invest those pennies.
TripAdvisor’s Hotel Pricing Report reveals the global accomodation trends based on the site’s hotel shopping data. Travellers will know of the destinations that offer great year-over-year accomodation value, and which months offer affordable hotel rates in popular destinations worldwide.
The report highlighted that 2017 is a great time for Australian travellers to shop the Philippines, Indonesia and the United Kingdom, where hotel prices are down, up to 15 per cent, compared to 2016.
“Our data highlights the best value destinations that they can book looking at the lowest average hotel prices and weather, including some of the Aussie all-time favourites such as the United Kingdom in May and August or Indonesia in November,” TripAdvisor spokesperson, Grant Colquhoun, said.
