DON’T PANIC: The Royals are here!

DON’T PANIC: The Royals are here!

Stop everything – the Royals are here and Meghan is pregnant!

Could this Wednesday get any better, we ask?

His Royal Highness Prince Harry and Meghan Duchess of Sussex are undertaking a three-week tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga surrounding this year’s Invictus Games. The games are a Paralympics-style event for wounded or injured armed service veterans founded by Prince Harry in 2014 which this year is being hosted in Sydney.

During the three weeks, the newly-weds will be visiting Sydney, Melbourne, Dubbo and Fraser Island in Australia – then Fiji, Tonga and Wellington, Auckland and Rotorua in New Zealand; the couple’s first major overseas tour.

Not only will their travels show off Australia to the world, but it reiterates that some of the best travel opportunities are available right in our own backyard. Which means you can follow in the Royals footsteps without leaving the country!

During their trip down-under, Meghan and Harry will spend five days in Sydney experiencing some of the best attractions Sydney has to offer including a visit to Taronga Zoo and a climb to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in order to fly the Invictus games flag proudly.

To squeeze everything into one day without stressing yourself out, AAT Kings have a Sydney In Style full day trip that takes you through majestic Sydney harbour, the historic Rocks district and the glorious white sand of Bondi beach before a delicious sit-down dinner at the Sydney Tower Restaurant with revolving panoramic views of the CBD. Which beats a day in the office, right?

The Duke and Duchess are also heading down to Melbourne – the cultural capital of Australia (sorry Sydney). Bursting with amazing restaurants, café’s, art galleries, museums and fashion houses, the city is also just a short trip away from world-renowned natural wonders, wildlife and premium wine regions.

Luckily, you don’t have to miss out on any of it. Inspiring Journeys Victoria’s Hidden Gems tour will take you on a luxurious seven-day trip through Melbourne and the highlights of Victoria including The Great Ocean Road and Twelve Apostles, the eclectic village of Daylesford, the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Jack Rabbit Vineyard – complete with an exclusive lunch and wine tasting.

Further up north, the Royals will spend a day on Fraser Island, near Brisbane, visiting the completed Queen’s Canopy project, which aims to restore rainforest across the Commonwealth.

To ‘casually’ run into the Royals, book a seat on the AAT Kings Tropical Islands & Rainforest trip leaving on the 18th of October – which still has seats available, BTW.

But if you don’t manage to catch a glimpse of the Royals in Australia, you can always track them to New Zealand, Fiji or Tonga. That’s not weird, right?
