Who is Australia’s most trusted cruise line?

According to more than 2450 people in the annual Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands survey, Princess Cruises is the most trusted cruise operator.

It’s the first time the cruise line has taken out top spot since the survey included a cruise category in 2013. Princess has landed with a Highly Commended for the past four years.

This year’s Highly Commended were Royal Caribbean and P&O Cruises, with the winners selected from a field of nine ocean and river cruise operators.

The only other shout out to the travel industry came in the ‘Australian Iconic Brands’ category, where Qantas took out Highly Commended.

The recognition comes as Princess Cruises prepares to celebrate 10 years since it started cruising from Australia year-round.

Princess Cruises Vice President Australia & New Zealand Stuart Allison said the cruise line was honoured to have received the gong.

“We pride ourselves on the holiday experience we provide, including our exceptional customer service, so we are very excited to have been recognised with this award,” Allison said.

“Australians now spend more nights sailing with Princess Cruises than on any other cruise line, enjoying holidays on our local fleet of four ships which sail full-time and seasonally from Australian ports, as well as on our international fly-cruises.”

In September next year, Princess Cruises’ flagship, the Majestic Princess, will arrive in Sydney for her inaugural season Down Under, in a further indication of the growing popularity of the cruise line amongst Australian holidaymakers.

    1. I’ve always wanted to explore Australia in a cruise. I’m going to check with the cruise agency I’ve been with if they plan to take any trips to Australia. I’ve been travelling with Kosher River Cruises as a traveller for a while now and I hold them to a high standard. I’ve enjoy every single kosher tour they’ve taken me to, in a river cruise in the Seine, in Mekong River, in Danube River, and even the Mississippi River (which was surprisingly interesting for a place close to home).
