“Verbally abusive” passengers kicked off Jetstar plane, banned from future flights
Four troublesome men were booted off a Jetstar plane earlier in the week and have been banned from travelling with Jetstar or Qantas over unfriendly behaviour.
The group of passengers were accused of being “verbally abusive” towards cabin crew and other passengers on a flight from Brisbane to Melbourne.
Staff onboard the Jetstar flight requested the police meet the plane when it arrived into Melbourne and the rowdy passengers were removed from the flight.
The airline told news.com.au the group “appeared intoxicated, refused to follow instructions and became verbally abusive towards crew and other customers”.
“The safety of our crew and customers is our first priority and we do not tolerate any disruptive or abusive behaviour on our aircraft,” a Jetstar spokeswoman said. The spokeswoman also confirmed that the group have been barred from any future Jetstar or Qantas flights.

The airline claimed that the men “appeared intoxicated.”
This incident came as the Australian Federal Police assistant commissioner specialist protective command Alison Wegg gave a warning ahead of the long weekend that anti-social behaviour would not be tolerated.
“Passengers who break the law will be dealt with swiftly and will be brought before the courts,” Assistant Commissioner Wegg said.
“People who are unruly on aircraft should understand that this may mean they will not be allowed to travel and will impact their family holiday plans and also impact fellow passengers.”
Wegg also warned travellers to be mindful of how much alcohol they consume.
“We have recently seen some disturbing and unacceptable behavior where travelers have shown complete disregard for fellow passengers and airline staff,” she said.
“Although consumption of alcohol itself on our planes and at airports is not illegal, we are asking the public to be mindful of how much alcohol they consume.”
The four passengers were compliant with the police once they came onboard the aircraft and no one was charged.
