Sydney-siders! Emirates is hosting a cabin crew open day

Emirates is looking for candidates to join its multinational cabin crew team. The Dubai-based airline is holding a cabin crew recruitment open day in Sydney tomorrow.

The airline is looking for individuals who are passionate about hospitality while creating memories for its customers.

Candidates are advised to pre-register here. Those who haven’t applied online may do so as walk-ins on open days at:

  • Sydney: Sir Stamford at Circular Quay, 6 December

Applicants hoping to kick-start their career as one of the most iconic cabin crew in the world can walk in with an up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) in English, and a recent photograph.

Emirates also hosted an open day for potential cabin crew in Melbourne over the weekend at the DoubleTree by Hilton.

Requirements, training and benefits

The Emirates recruitment team are looking for candidates who are fluent in written and spoken English and have one year of hospitality or customer service experience. Once selected, training is provided in the Emirates’ Cabin Crew Training Centre in Dubai.

New recruits learn leadership and life-saving skills in Safety & Emergency Procedures, essential first aid in Group Medical Training, observational and industry insights in Security sessions, skincare, nutrition and wellbeing advice in the Image and Uniform training, and finally an insight into the pillars of hospitality and Emirates’ onboard food and beverage offering in Service training.

Emirates offers a competitive, tax-free salary and flying pay, eligibility for profit share, hotel stay, layover expenses, concessional travel and cargo, annual leave ticket, annual leave, furnished accommodation, transportation to and from work, excellent life, medical and dental insurance coverage, laundry services among others. Besides annual leave tickets, cabin crew enjoy a range of deeply discounted flight tickets for self, dependents, wider family and friends, so that they can travel, explore and experience new cultures and the world together, or separately.

For those that love to indulge in retail therapy along with good food, Emirates Platinum card offers a range of privileges and discounts across thousands of retail outlets and clubs. The card also covers many clinics and hospitality outlets locally and globally.

The recruitment drive comes as Emirates continues to see strong passenger bookings from Australia with significant demand across all its cabins, including its recently launched Premium Economy. Many Emirates passengers are also taking advantage of stopover travel, with the airline seeing a strong increase in the number of passengers who have enjoyed a brief stop in Dubai.

In Australia, Emirates operates its flagship A380 aircraft with double daily services to both Sydney and Melbourne, and a daily service to Brisbane and Perth. On 1 August, Emirates introduced its newly retrofitted A380 featuring its latest premium economy cabin to Sydney.
