Rydges to bring “country hospitality” to Fortitude Valley

Rydges to bring “country hospitality” to Fortitude Valley
By admin

Rydges Fortitude Valley will open next month, with the hotel firm confident the new property will be well-positioned to capture both business and leisure travellers as the district continues to evolve.

Located within the historic Brisbane Showgrounds precinct, the 208-room hotel will provide accommodation for visitors to a range of events and festivals and the neighbouring showgrounds which are currently undergoing a $2.9 billion redevelopment.

The focus is on providing modern amenities combined with “rural charm”.

For example, the Sux Acres Restaurant will offer a farm-to-table dining experience, while the Paddock Bar will combine panoramic views with a lively atmosphere to deliver a “charming, rural vibe”, according to Rydges.

“We envisage the hotel becoming regional Queensland’s home in the city, bringing a new dimension in world-class service with a personal touch to an area known for its cultural heritage and agricultural theme,” the new hotel’s general manager Matthew Hurley said.

“The hotel’s positioning within the Showgrounds precinct and opposite the Royal International Convention Centre (RICC) lends unique appeal to guests wishing to stay and soak up the atmosphere at the many events and festivals held in the district throughout the year.”
