“Given the unprecedented demand for rail travel in 2023, and the rate at which our portfolio of products and services is expanding, it’s vital Australian travel agents are fully across the benefits Rail Online provides them and their customers,” Blows said.

Blows said that as an established operator with a national presence, ETC is ideally positioned to work with Rail Online.

“We were also keen to work closely with ETC managing director Ingrid Berthelsen, who has previously held senior roles in Australasia with Rail Europe and Rail Plus.”

Berthelsen said she is excited to be a promoting a booking platform that is “transforming the travel agents’ experience of booking global rail journeys”.

“In the past agents have often shied away from booking rail because it was a difficult and time-consuming task,” she said.
