Mrs Beckham brings Britain to Singapore

Posh Spice has done what she does best, and it involves travel, a cocktail party and fashion.

The glamorous Victoria Beckham hosted an exclusive British Airways cocktail party to celebrate Singapore Fashion Week, while also sharing her travel tips with the audience, from balancing busy schedules to managing motherhood.

The former Spice Girl attended the event for a select group of the airline’s VIP guests at the renowned Flutes restaurant in the National Museum of Singapore.

Beckham talked about juggling the demands that go hand in hand with being an international businesswoman, as well as what it’s like to travel with kids, and what sneaky essentials she needs to travel. Expect dark sunglasses and water inside Posh Spice’s carry-on.

The designer revealed that the White Cube gallery and the V&A are among her favourite spots in London, the city she chose as the location of her flagship Mayfair boutique.

“I’ve been flying with British Airways since I was a child. I have some very fond travel memories associated with the airline and it was great to relive them this evening,” Beckham said.

“David and I love visiting Asia and I feel at home every time I return to Singapore. I always find the fashion here incredibly exciting and inspiring, and it was an honour to show my collection over the weekend.”

Victoria Beckham also shared insights into how she prepares for long-haul flights.

“I travel a lot with my job and charity work for UNAIDs so I have my on board routine perfected,” she said.

“Flying is my opportunity to disconnect and catch up on work and sleep. Once I’ve boarded the plane, I kick off my heels and change into something comfortable and sit back to unwind.”

British Airways’ regional general manager for South East Asia Robert Williams said Beckham oozed the kind of style the airline strives for.

“Victoria Beckham is the epitome of British sophistication and it has been wonderful to have her here with us this evening. We always look forward to welcoming her on our flights.”

British Airways operates a twice-daily service to between Singapore and London and a daily service to Sydney.
