Memphis Tourism reveals exclusive VIP blues show for agents

Memphis Tourism has announced two private concert events featuring headlining Blues on Broadbeach artists Marcus Scott and The Bo-Keys.

The exclusive events will give travel agents the opportunity to get up close and personal with some iconic Memphis artists, who are being brought to Australia for the highly anticipated Blues on Broadbeach festival in May, thanks to a partnership with United Airlines.

Those in attendance will get a preview of the 2023 Blues on Broadbeach festival line-up, which is known for bringing the blues, soul, and rock n roll that Memphis is famous for, to Australia. Memphis native Marcus Scott – AKA the “Memphis Soul Man” – will attend and is known for his electrifying, compelling, and soulful vocals and performances.

Scott will be backed by multi-instrumental ensemble The Bo-Keys, who are credited with keeping the spirit of classic Memphis music alive whilst also writing a new chapter for the sound and style that keeps it relevant and contemporary. Together, these musical acts promise to bring the sounds of Memphis in spades at Blues on Broadbeach and at the Memphis Tourism events.

“Along with our valued partner United Airlines, Memphis Tourism is excited to give the industry an exclusive preview of the outstanding musicians performing at this year’s Blues of Broadbeach,” Chris Ingram, director of Memphis Tourism Australia & New Zealand said.

“We’re very lucky to have such a high number of talented musicians hailing from Memphis and excited to be able to bring them here for these exclusive events as well as the festival.”

The exclusive Memphis Tourism events will take place at The Toff in Melbourne on the 17th of May, and Zeta Bar in Sydney on the 18th of May. On the invite list there will be a mix of travel agents, industry professionals as well as music and travel media, which will ensure a fun time!

The Blues on Broadbeach festival takes place between the 18th – 21st May.
