Helloworld for business Summit success

120 helloworld for business Members and suppliers gathered in Singapore recently for the helloworld for business Summit at the Shangri-La hotel.

The “Evolution to Revolution” themed Summit focused on strengthening Members’ skills and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and continue delivering the best for their clients.

Keynote speakers at the Summit included CEO of Qantas International and Freight Gareth Evans; Google Head of Industry Travel – Australia and New Zealand Dougal McKenzie; and renowned financial journalist Ross Greenwood.

Attendees also heard from Helloworld’s CEO  Andrew Burnes and  Head of Helloworld’s Associate, Corporate and Affiliate networks David Padman with  several key initiatives launched to support Members as they target Australia’s SME market including:

  • a partnership with Serko, a technology company with a corporate focus to develop technology for the SME space
  • a global partnership with GlobalStar which operates in 80+ countries with 3,500+ locations, a global hotel program, reporting and lead generation
  • Lead Generation Platform including from QBT
  • APX Travel Management to become the helloworld for business fulfilment partner in NZ
  • Expansion of the helloworld for business profile through mainstream media advertising, expansion of the Carlton IN Business sponsorship
  • The launch of hwfb.com.au website including agent finder
  • Expanded high-end leisure corporate product
  • Inclusion of a corporate specialist in the dedicated product team

Reho Travel won the hotly contested Innovation Award for the third year in a row in recognition of the ongoing work in influencing the entire travel supply chain to mitigate environmental impact and maximise social benefits – an approach which has unlocked significant business opportunities.

Qantas was the major helloworld for business Summit sponsor  along with British Airways, Etihad, Travelport and United.
