Webjet adopts virtual payment system
By admin

Webjet has been confirmed as the Australian launch customer for a new virtual payment system used by three of the top four global online travel agencies.

The WEX virtual card solution, implemented through WEX subsidiary, Wright Express Australia, will enable the retailer to transact with its suppliers using single use virtual cards.

According to Wright Expess Australia managing director, Greg Drumm, the solution will enable Webjet to enhance revenue, cut costs and increase efficiencies.

“With top global online travel agencies now using WEX’s single use virtual accounts solution, it was fitting that the company’s first customer in Australia was one of the country’s largest online travel agencies,” he said.

Meanwhile, Webjet managing director John Guscic described it as a "flexible, reliable and efficient" payment method.

“Webjet is always looking to adopt innovative solutions that advance our business," he said.
