She may have been unsuccessful in her bid to make it through the the final phase of Tourism Australia's Best Jobs in the World competition, but Ellenor Argyropoulos has won a different prize – a job with the tourism body itself.

Photographer Argyropoulos has been offered a job in Tourism Australia's social media team where she will use her talents to create destination content for its Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google+ accounts.

Her first assignment will be to document the final week of challenges facing the 18 Best Jobs finalists when they arrive in Australia.

TA managing director Andrew McEvoy said her ability to create "buzz" through her photography and videography skills had prompted the decision to approach her with the offer.

"Such has been the quality of the candidates that Tourism Australia has created its own Best Job, working for u in our social media team," he said.

"We needed someone to help us document the 18 finalists as they undergo their exciting final challenges in Australia and , amongst such a talented field of candidates, we were able to find exactly the person we were looking for in Ellenor."

McEvoy urged other employers to consider snapping up some of the other unsuccessful candidates through the Working Holiday Maker program.

Meanwhile, Argyropoulos described the role as her "ultimate dream job".

"I can't wait to meet the 18 finalists, find out their stories and begin documenting their next challenge for the ultimate six winners," she said.
