Agents will be given a look at life as a Travel Counsellor as the firm opens its doors for its first ever “discovery” morning which comes on the back of a 10% rise in new recruits since the start of the year.

Tracy Parkinson, Travel Counsellors’ Australia manager, said the event aims to give an “honest and open” insight into the workings of the company.

“This is a first for us and reflects our key company message that ‘with us it’s personal’,” she said.

Attendees will meet the team which provides commercial, marketing, business development and IT support to Trave Counsellors’ Australia-based agents. They will also be able to pose their questions to current Travel Counsellors.

“Anyone worried that it can be lonely working from home will be reassured when we show them all the ways we communicate with our agents,” Parkinson said. “One of these is our weekly webcast which we broadcast live from our in-house studio – attendees will be able to sit in on the live recording.”

The event will be held on July 25 at the firm’s Melbourne head office. To register, click here.

Meanwhile, it confirmed its 2014 national conference will be held from February 28 to March 2.
