Amadeus has announced a partnership with Business Information Services (NSW) Pty Limited (BIS) to see the integration of BIS’ expense management automation tool Expense8 with Amadeus’ online booking tool e-Travel Management.
For the first time, users will see real-time travel costs in the pre-booking approval process, rather than basing itineraries on estimates that can change. Users can also hold bookings for flights, hotels and cars until approval is received.
The system flexibility will also allow fare approval even if the cost has increased between approval and booking, with the integration recognising different travel policy rules for individual, multi-passenger or guest travellers bookings across domestic, trans-tasman and international itineraries.
TFE Hotels’ has launched its latest Deal of the Week with Adina Apartment Hotel Brisbane, offering guests a romantic special to mark the close of another busy year, with the dates only open until December 31 2014.
Starting at $194 per night, the Romance Package includes accommodation for two adults, win and strawberries, daily buffet breakfast, late check-out and sparkling wine.

Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom has announced that Africa’s Top Travel Tradeshow, INDABA 2015, will take place at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban from May 9 to 11 next year.
INDABA is the biggest platform for African tourism businesses to meet global buyers of their products and services, with over 2000 international buyers attending the 2014 show.
Emirates is gearing up for an A380 hat trick, with the airline set to launch three new A380 destinations in three days.
The flight destinations include San Francisco, Milan and Houston, all of which have been visited by Emirates for years now, but not by an A380.
Now with these three up-gauges, Emirates’ A380 route network will total 33 destinations, spanning from Auckland in the East to Los Angeles in the West.
Commemorating the centenary of the start of WWI, A&K will be offering a number of specially designed cruises focusing on France’s Canal du Nord and Canal de la Somme, which were both at the centre of battles during the war.
Cruising on the 12-passenger hotel barge La Belle Epoque, guided excursions will be included to sites in Flanders, such as the Menin Gate in Ypres for the moving Last Post ceremony, the battlefields and museums of the Somme and the forest clearing at Compiègne where the Armistice was signed.

A group of Travel Counsellors agents recently experienced the wonders of cruising through the heart of Europe aboard an APT luxury vessel, which boasted tasty meals, a Captain’s Gala welcome dinner and the Captain’s Cocktail Party.
The group consisting of Cheryl Bentley, Heidi Winkley, Julie Moore, Liz Van Boxel, Michaela Roberts, Samantha Slattery & Tina Millington, enjoyed eight days of luxury cruising, starting in Amsterdam and finishing in Basel, Switzerland, spending most of its cruise on the Rhine River.
German rail operator Deutsche Bahn says it is taking legal action against Lufthansa and other airlines over claims of fixing air cargo prices, claiming compensation for damages it says its subsidiary Schenker has sustained as a result, a spokesman told AFP.
He said Deutsche Bahn was launching a lawsuit in a court in the western German city of Cologne as well as in New York, with the damages being claimed allegedly totalling around AUD$3 billion.
