Peru tourism agency PromPeru will partner with Expedia and Zuji as it launched its first online marketing campaign in Australia.

The three month crusade will see PromPeru promote Lima, Cusco and the Amazon on both sites with discounts of up to 30% available at participating hotels.

Alan Kupis, PromPeru strategic alliances coordinator, claimed that a similar campaign with Expedia in the UK and Canada last year resulted in a 26% increase in passenger numbers to Peru, a 22% increase in air tickets sold and a rise of 21% hotel nights.

“By extending the Expedia campaign to Australia and additionally partnering with Zuji for this market, we have high expectations and look forward to welcoming many more Australians to Peru,” Kupis said.
