Qantas passengers can now pre-purchase preferred seats on its codeshare services with American Airlines following a technology upgrade.

 

Media personality Deborah Hutton will host the 2012 Cruise Industry Awards in Sydney next month. Tickets are still available for the event, which takes place at the Hilton on February 9.

 

Youth operator Topdeck is offering discounts of 7.5% on selected tours in Europe for bookings paid in full before February 28.

 

Emirates will retime its Dubai-Singapore-Brisbane flight from June 1 with the service set to arrive and depart Queensland three hours earlier than the current schedule. It will now arrive in Brisbane at 9.40pm and depart 11.30pm.

 

Qantas has extended its Tasmania fee-waiver offer to include travel up to and including January 16. Passengers who booked on or before January 9 can rebook on alternative flights to Tasmania, use the value of the ticket towards a flight to another destination or hold it in credit for 12 months.

 

Air New Zealand will add an extra weekly Auckland-Los Angeles flight between July 6 and July 27 and September 29 and October 20.

 

Two round trip charter flights between Guangzhou and Adelaide will be operated by China Southern Airlines next month.

 

Swissotel Hotels and Resorts will open a 135-room property in Goa in the first quarter of the year.
