European Waterways have announced their 2015 cruise season as the ‘Year of the Family’ offering up to 10% off whole boat charters on ten of its most popular hotel barges.
Holding just 8 to 12 passengers, a hotel barge offers the option to modify family-friendly itineraries to meet the unique needs of the group.
European Waterways manager director Derek Banks highlighted the importance of accommodating for family travel as it is the strongest growing market in the industry. “Although our cruises are perfect for all types of small groups, we want to make 2015 an especially ‘family-friendly’ year for hotel barging.” Banks said.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commissio (ACCC) have announced that it will not oppose the proposed acquisition by Aquis Reef Holdings (Aus) Pty Ltd (together with its related bodies corporate, Aquis) of the Reef Hotel Casino (Reef Casino) in Cairns.
If the development proceeds, the Aquis Resort would be the second casino in Cairns. The ACCC has claimed that the total expenditure required to develop the first stage is $5 billion and is still conditional on a number of factors.
