Big Brother’s Tully on British Wildcard Adventure

Big Brother’s Tully on British Wildcard Adventure
By admin

Tully Smyth from reality TV show Big Brother has teamed up with STA Travel and VisitBritain to become a travel insider for two weeks.

Smyth’s trip will provide Australian travellers with a unique taste of regional British adventures as part of a “Wildcard Challenge”.

Together with STA Travel and VisitBritain, Smyth challenges young Aussie professionals who may have already visited London to return to Britain and venture further afield with a sneak peek of a side of Britain they are yet to discover.

Smyth travelled to some of Britain’s best countryside and regional cities, which are becoming increasingly popular tourist destinations for Australian Travellers.

This was reflective of STA Travel research where 520 Australians surveyed who had already booked travel to Britain in 2014 revealed 89% of them planned to explore beyond London as part of their travels.

VisitBritain marketing manager Australia Mark Haynes said it’s never been easier for young Australian travellers to follow in Smyth’s footsteps and explore Britain with direct flights into regional cities such as Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester.

“These cities offer a dynamic cultural landscape where music, culture and fashion merge. The stunning countryside linking these cities form the backdrop to countless adventures which travellers can easily uncover in two week bursts,” Haynes added.

The Australian public are being given the chance to follow Smyth’s adventures throughout September with the launch of seven videos on STA Travel’s YouTube Channel.

Those who tune in and answer a related question will go in the running to win two return flights to Britain.
