Accor puts swags on the Xmas list
By admin

Accor's Brisbane hotels have announced a new partnership with Street Swags Limited to raise money and awareness for the many homeless people in Australia.

Street Swags is an organisation that provides durable bedding and emergency shelter for families and individuals without accommodation.

The partnership means that for every $600 a company or client spends when booking their end of year event or Christmas party at an Accor property, the hotel firm will provide a bedding solution for a homeless Australian.

Accor regional general manager for Queensland, Chris Sedgwick, described the tie-up as a great opportunity for different companies and clients to make a difference this festive season.

“With the support of our guests and clients, we are hoping to play a part in alleviating the hardships of homeless people by providing a comfortable and durable form of bedding to those in need, in partnership with Street Swags,” he said.

Founded in 2005 by Jean Madden (pictured), Street Swags has already donated around 20,000 swags to people experiencing homelessness in Australia. Click here for more details.
